Drupal is up and running but how do I ...?

Get my forum posts to appear in a Forum?!

Hello all,

I'm currently trying to get the forum module working in my site. I've followed the handbook and have a decent (enough) container/forum setup now. However, when I go to create content >> forum topic and create a topic my post does not appear in any of the forums. Though it does appear in the "New forum topics" box.

I don't seem to have the dropdown box that is on this site that allows me to chose the forum for a post, and so it seems to not get put in any forums.

How can I add the same node into different books?

I'm a newbie and I don't understand why I cannot add the same node into different books.

I have this taxonomy tree:

*Vocabulary:
-Release
**Terms:
--Album
--Demo
--Compilatione

Cron.php does not exist

I am getting a notification email from my service provider that says that cron job says that my url I set up for drupal does not exist. "No such file or directory".

My hosting has a web page thing in a online ftp manager to enable cron job. It says MIN HOUR DAY WEEK MONTH and SCRIPT. I put 00 in MIN and then * in the other ones and then in SCRIPT I put http://www.beejapan.org/index/cron.php (I have my drupal installed at /index/)

$submitted variable always empty

Hi everybody, I am running a fresh installation of drupal 4.7-beta4.
In node.tpl.php the line:

<span class="submitted"><?php print $submitted></span>

always renders as:

<span class="submitted"></span>

no matter the template I choose.
I have browsed the drupal docs, and I have read (http://drupal.org/node/11816):

Editor Editing Approved Article Unpublishes It?

Hi All, I'm pretty new to Drupal so apologies if this problem is just me not understanding something.

I'm trying to use Drupal for a basic CMS. We don't need any community features, it's purely to allow internal people to add/update pages and stories and then have them approved later my the admin.

The problem I have is that I've defined a role where a user can author & edit pages. However those pages are unpublished by default and require an admin user to approve them. That's all good but there are two problems:

What do these mean?

Hello, almost every day I'm getting these entries in my log (in green)
