Post installation

Im stuck with MySQL 4.1.x so I had to go with Drupal 4.5. (to my understanding).

It's up an running, but im having a few woes.

1) I created a test user, but cannot delete it. I press delete, and it just reloads the page. I also am unable to change its password, or log in using that account.

2) The same thing happens why I try to post a forum message (using the main account). The page reloads, with my entered subject/body zapped trying both submit, and preview.

Any idea where I should look for the cause?

Now then. I'm in the mood to adjust the width of the items in a horizontal nice_menu. A comment in nice_menus.css distinctly warned me about doing that: " width: 150px /* override this for a different menu width. WARNING: have to change in other places too */ ". Where are these other places? There are two widths to change (that I could see) in nice_menus.css, but changing them to value X clearly isn't enough, since that leaves grandchild menus floating disembodied (150 - X) pixels from their parent.

I've been searching the forums for this, running into many snippets for displaying random images, random users, random blog entries.

I am looking to display a random node from one content type (a flexinode type). Basically, I just need to find a snippet of PHP that will allow me to define the content type being displayed, and the number of nodes displayed (i want to display just one node).

Or, alternatively, if I could display a single random node from one vocabulary/term, that would be ideal as well.

Has anyone come across this? Thanks in advance,

So Flexinode is cool and all, but there's one thing I'd like to do on my create story form that it doesn't have.

I would like to post a link to a help page that I've made, to give nice detailed instructions to users on how the "create story" form works. Is this something best done through editing the theme, or what?

I just started with a fresh 4.70r6 installation. I want to define the primary links for my site and done the following:

- at "menus": renamed "primary links" to "TopMenu" (via edit)
- "add menu item": added "myPage" with parent item "TopMenu"
- at "settings / menus": Set Menu containing primary links to "TopMenu"
- Set Menu containing secondary links to "TopMenu"

I thought the "edit primary links" in the top right corner should have been gone and my "myPage" had to be displayed? But it works not. Neither as admin nor as anonymous user ...

I've started a site about a month ago, called diyphotography.net. It's beed using drupal (DAH) 4.6.6, and i find it very easy to add articles and maintain the site.
I do have one problem, the site is not being indexed by search engines. if i look for diyphotography.net, I get just the homepage.
When clicking "More from this site" on google/yahoo/altavista i get only the front page again. (msn will give some more, but not alot)
