Please someone help me concerning customizing Simplex2 theme for the site I am setting for news submission. I would like to, firstly, change the title "Drupal" on top, format it (I don't like the indention and the formatting). Any help is highly appreciated.... thanks.. this is the site: http://urevent.info/
I have just installed Drupal 4.7 with no problems - however, I'm a little stuck at what to do next.
I'd like Drupal to replace my current hand coded HTML fan-site, which deals primarily with four cult movie directors, and sports a home page which lists upcoming DVD releases of interest to cult movie fans.
I've just installed Drupal and I want to edit the primary links on the top of the site but I don't know how it works. Actually, I don't really understand how drupal works.
Well, I guess the topic says it all. I'd like to show every taxonomy category my Drupal installation (4.6.6) features in one single block. I'm going for the classic "WordPress-look" in the sense that I want an overview of every category I use clearly visible in the sidebar (check out an Ubuntu blog and the Linux and Open Source Blog for examples).
Now, I know there are a few third party modules available from drupal.org but none of them really suits me:
I'd like to create a "user of the day" block, with the avatar, the name and a link to
the profile. I'm a bit stuck. First I'd like to select a random user everyday (how do
I write the select statement ?), Secondly, I'd like to have the same user all day (and
here I don't have any ideas on how to do it ...).
I guess this snippet (not tested) will work to display alway the last registered user.
How do I modify it to display the user of the day ?
