Hi,
I read in a post by Robert Douglass about the CCK: "The ability to define custom data types easily, and from the web interface, is one of the most popular features of Drupal today, with the flexinode module[1] being one of the most popular modules. With Drupal 4.7, a new tool has emerged that overcomes flexinode's limitations with regards to performance while adding semantic meaning to fields, making them reusable, and separating the concepts of data type and user interface."
Hi,
I have installed my (second) drupal web site, but I still need some pointers.
1) I would like to use a staging web site and then syncronise it with a live one. It would be better if both the staging and the live web site could have new content.
For example, I would live to be able to create 2 new nodes in the staging one and syncronise it with the live one, in which there are other new nodes. I am not sure if this can be done. Looks like is quite hard to syncronise.
Forgive me, but I do not understand about having multiple Drupal sites under one installation.
I have a Drupal-powered site, example.com, and I want to have a subdomain, site.example.com, to be another Drupal-powered site. Before I create the subdomain, I have to create an actual folder for the subdomain to map to (say example.com/site)
How do I achieve this? What files do I have to copy over to example.com/site? And wouldn't that make it a separate installation?
Any idea what change to make to allow IE and Opera to function?
1 more question. How would I implement the $row function to something else in order to get this to
display in a nice neat table (rows and columns) with a "more" link for paging through so I don't necessarily have to display all on one page. Thanks!
That's my problem: When locale module is on - Drupal is working VERY VERY slowly. When I shut down locale, it begin to work as always (fast enough!) That's the quastion - how can I solve it?
I'm totally new to Drupal, having just installed it today. ONe of the things I'd like to do is have a nicer 'boxed off' look to the site I am playing with at the moment. I have identified the 'goofy' theme as one which looks perfect but am unable to download it. The download link is disabled for me. Can anyone suggest a reason why and better still, tell me how I can get the theme downloaded?
