Filestore2 - file types?

I am unsure whether posting to this topic is appropriate at all... So I have filestore2 installed, and it's great, but there are some questions I couldn't find answer for does fliestore fetch file types from the upload plugin's settings, or do I have to set types elsewhere?

HTML & image in a block

Drupal 4.6.6

I'm sure I've done this before - but I just can't seem to remember how I did it.

I am trying to add this to a right column block

<a href="/node">
<img border="0" src="/images/zimage10.png" alt="desc"></a>

I'm also using a raw data filter (accept everything)

thanks
