Post installation

Hi, I'm able to upload files and turn them into products, make them non-shippable,etc. but the user can still download the file before they purchase it and also I can't see a way to have them pay for it and then be redirected to the file they are purchasing. I.E. song, video, etc.

Does anyone want to offer a step by step method for doing this and list what modules are needed?
I think this would be extremely useful for many of us. Or am I just missing something very obvious?

Does anybody known which module or how to make attached files, downloads for Drupal 4.7? I need that there will be possibility of permissions. For example that some files will be possible to download only for registered users (files will be served by drupal). Anonymous users will not be able to put direct url to file.

Mh trying to modifying the layout of the search node thought it would be as easy as 1 2 3 node.search.tpl.php - doesnt seem to work, have empty the cache - any other ideas

How do I make the firstpage to display a page in the menu (in my case it's node/18) instead of a list of most recent changed pages?
I have used Typo3 CMS so I'm used to turn the startpage into shortcut to a page in the first level in the page tree, usually called "home", "start" or something like that.

How might one remove the advance search or at least remove the boxes pertaining to category and type, there seems to be no reference in the module file
