Post installation

I enabled the Upload module, and configured everything, and enable it to the menu, but how do I actually upload files now? I am confused..

When a new member registers, there is no error message and the account details ARE sent to me (the admin). I can even use the contact form to send myself messages, but other members don't receive anything when I send it.

I want to set up a site where users can submit links but the links could go in approx 50 different categories....maybe more now that I think about it. I assume Taxonomy is going to play a major role in this but what's the easiest way to go about it. It would be nice to have something set up like the "image" module where they get a drop down that determines where they're link info goes.

When viewing my website with Opera (http://vroot.org/), the search input box width exceed the right border of the search block. The consequence: all the content of the site (below the logo banner) is moved to the left (so the overall content can be centered). Notice: I use the Marvin theme. Any ideas?

I m planning to have a portal site with each 3 different sub site, the idea is that :

- each site is at a different subdomain.
- each site got it own template.
- i want to manage the content, and i would like to choose which content to display on which site (like, you can use administration function to publish news, but you can choose on which site the new would be displayed).
-register for a new ID in a site will let you be able to login at other sites as well

Hello everyone,

I loaded up a bunch of themes and now that I have enabled and made default the "burnt" theme the enable and default options are not visible. There does not seem to be enough space in the window to show theses. I can just make out a sliver of the enable option box.

I tried changing the // 'theme_default' => 'gworks', line in settings.php but this is not changing the theme. After going through a few forums and searching for "change theme', 'default theme' and 'hardcode theme' and am no further ahead. Any help with this would be spiffy.
