Post installation

I have a text field which displays the username. The user should not be able to edit the text field values. Can anyone help me on this?

I've been struggling with this for a while, but I notice somebody else has had the problem: http://drupal.org/node/66628

I think the problem is with the Category module / forums.

Creating forums and forum containers work ok, but when I try and post in the forum, it doesn't get assigned under that forum (which remains forever with 0 posts).

I was playing around with the themes bluemarine, chameleon and pushbutton - note that these are only the basic ones. Suddenly, my Primary links found at the top-right of the page disappeared. I can't get it back! Enabling it under administer|blocks doesn't make it right - this only makes the Primary links list downward at the top left and not across at the top-right as it was originally. I found nothing under administer|menus that could help me.

I settled back to bluemarine. How do I get my Primary links back in bluemarine?

hi to all! im new to drupal so im just messing a bit trying to understand how it works. Actually it seems almost easy but i was not able to handle a little (and probably easy) problem. My customer asked a way to add 1. images 2. articles with attachments

Guys I really need your help on this one.

I'm running a successful site about advertising on 4.6 with some custom modules, but nothing out of ordinary.

For some reason a month ago I started getting a strange bug. Whenever I go and change any setting in the administration menus the site slows down for minutes and eventually dies. It needs to be restarted. It can be any setting, for example switching on or off a module.

I am trying to use the I18N module with drupal 4.7. It works fine, but I can't find the way to translate primary links - I dont mean URLs of links, just the name of the menu items. I looked around the forum, but it leads to a frustating jump between different forum items (mixed with 4.5, 4.6,, 4.7 issues...) so really I cant understand where to start.

Is there some good soul who can help me?
