Drupal is up and running but how do I ...?

Digg "blog this" problems

Hi all,

Trying to get the Digg blog this feature working with my Drupal 4.7 site.

When i submit the blog from Digg, it states "Success
Your blog reports a successful post."

But nothing appears on my blog, nothing in the logs either.

Settings I used on DIgg:
------------------------

Type of Blog: Setup Manually

Blog API: BLogger

Blog Username: my username

Blog Password: my password

URL of Blog: http://www.rareexample.ca

web page is up, content on board, but are search engines able to properly see content ?

Hi everyone,

The webpage www.popularparanoia.com is up, content is up on the page, I have clean url's turned on, but are search engines able to properly see the content for indexing ?

I note I still have 0 page ranking on google, and Im not sure if that is due to dynamic content or not.

Is there any way to have everything "seen" better so I get ranked ?

thanks

sean

Fine on PHP 5.0.0 server, but blank content on PHP 5.1.4 server

Hi,
I have copied the directory tree from my live server (Drupal 4.6, PHP 5.0.0, MySQL 4.1.8) to my development server (PHP 5.1.4, MySQL, 4.1.8). The menus and headers, etc looks fine, but the main content is not appearing. Where the content should be it is just printing out:

Break "sign" in teaser

Hi,
does anyone knows, if its possible to put a "break sign" like [...] or ... after a break in the teaser?
Because my visitors often don't see that a teaser was breaked.

CCK ImageField options- how do I?

I like the Image field module for CCK very much. It includes the ability to upload an image file as needed without all the 'extras' that image assist gives you. I don't want authorized users to have the type of access image and image assist provide. Only admins can have this type of access. So the basic quality of this field works for my needs. However I am trying to incorporate some things and I have no clue what to change, etc. Here's what I want to do:

1) I need to limit the file size by both pixel size and #KB size. I cannot figure out how to add the condition for the file KB size. When I set the pixel size limits it does resize an image to fit those conditions (i.e. a 1200x1200 pixel image is resized to 300x200) however using that example, I still have a really large file that is now saved into my database. As I am going to be having folks submit a website banner, photos, etc. I really need to be able to have the ability to limit the KB file size uploads.

2) Can I redirect where these files are saved, i.e. have a folder in my FILES directory titled the same as the CCK content type?

3) Preface: This is a desire-- not anything I think could be actually done, but it would be really cool if it could! Is it possible to have the image name be changed to match some condition, i.e. user name and if that user submits more than one image based on multiple uploads (for different content types, etc) then it would say USER_CCKtypename_# = Myname_art_1 for 1st image uploaded by that specific user, then Myname_myphoto(CCKtypename#2)_1 for second, etc. etc.

Image_Galleries, automatic Subfolders and Image-Gallery -> Acidfree-Conversions?

Nice good afternoon together :D

First of all sorry for my english. I hope I can describe my problem in a way you can understand.

To the introduction the compulsory data:
- I run a Drupal page with the version 4/6/8
- this version is modified so strongly that an update on 4.7th version would be a lot of work. It works up to the equally described problem by my wishes and, hence, I would like to keep it.
- the picture galleries are appealed. Up to now available in my page are about 2000 pictures plus the additional Thumbnails and precharts.
- the page is not to be seen yet online, it is tested just by me off-line.

I have a special question with regard to the image module or to the image Gallery module. Unfortunately, to me has struck only too late that aforesaid modules drop all pictures in merely one directory after the upload. Besides, they offer no option to select an subdirectorz or to create automatically a new one, as soon as a certain number exists in images.

This is less problematic with small web pages, possibly Blogs or similar. Indeed, this can become a considerable performance problem, as soon as more extensive picture galleries should be put on. If I insert, for instance, 500 pictures in my page, other 500 for Thumbnails and while putting on of preview versions are complementary 500 over again. One is quick with the triple sum in images which one generally has intregiert and if these are dropped all in one folder, this can lead not only at the operation of the page, but also with backups or actions on FTP to problems. Apart from this is anything but clear and structured.
