Post installation

if I turn off the Line break converter under input formats will this essentially convert all my existing pages where I didn't use a
tag because I would like to get rid of the line break converter for page and story content types but I'm nervous its going to mess up 100 pages.

I am currently using the spreadfirefox theme in Drupal 4.7. I have all the upload and image modules installed and activated, but I cannot seem to get User pictures in posts and User pictures in comments to activate, when I go to activate them within the firefox theme they are greyed out, even in global settings....

I have no idea why I cannot activate these check boxes, but I would really like to use my gravatar on my site...

I searched the forum archives but didn´t found anything about it. I installed Drupal on my website (http://www.fidelisvirtual.com.br ) through Fantastico and everything went well. I created my first acount, installed some themes and new modules and everything again seemed to work ok. But now, if you don´t log in, Drupal shows the welcome message and don´t allow not loged users to see anything.

I've got a Drupal site running on DreamHost. Following Dreamhost's practices, the mysql database for the site lives in a subdomain under the Drupal site's domain; let's call it mydb.example.com. When I try to go to the site and presumably get to the phpMyAdmin install that lives there, Drupal somehow gets its hands on the request and returns a "Page not found" page (a Drupal-generated page with this message, that is -- not a server-level 404 message).

Arggh. Have I mis-configured something somewhere? Any advice?

I am using a custom template to handle a flexinode type, some sample code I grabbed off this site helped me handle a main entry and separate teaser body. But I am getting gibberish code at the tops of my pages and between entries on the lists and I need some help troubleshooting. Does anyone have any ideas what part of this code is doing this? The gibberish in question looks like this:

I'd like to know if there is a way to add a field handler to the Views system when the table the field exists in has already been exposed. For an example, I'd like to create a view where one of the fields is the node title. Not a link to the node, just the node title. I have edited the views_node.inc for the Views system and add another handler there but then when I upgrade the Views module at some point, I'm going to have to hack it again.

I've also tried exposing the node table again and specifiying another handle but that didn't work (makes sense).
