Drupal is up and running but how do I ...?

Hide node Log message textbox for non admins

When adding or editing a node (ie page, jans node, etc.) the "Log message:" always appears. It can be confusing for users because they don't know where to then add the main content. How can I turn it off so it doesn't appear for anyone?
I would have thought there would be an option under admin/settings/content-types/ but I'm not seeing one.
Thanks!

Showing total posts and comments of the whole site...?

Hi there!
I wanted to know if there´s a chance to show in one single number, the whole site´s posts and the whole site´s comments...

Something like:

There are 1225 posts and 15487 comments here, and counting.

Something like this, (see the box at the top right corner, wich shows the total number of posts in the whole site?)

I´ve searched the forums with no luck yet... I think that site is made with Movable Type, so we must have something similar, because Drupal is superior in every way!

Favorite node menu link... where?

I have installed favorite nodes module.
It looks like it is working fine.
But I don´t know how to access the favorite node page.
It doesn t appear in the Menu section to de enabled. (Only the admin one)

Thanks.

?PHPSESSID please please help

Hi,

Please your help would be greatly appreciated!

What is an effective way to strip the session id
from the URL?? (?PHPSESSID)

I have seen a number of fixes,
mostly involving setting cookies, and disabling session ids.

Such as adding the following to .htaccess

php_value session.use_trans_sid 0
php_value session.use_only_cookies 1

However this will block bots from being able to crawl!!
Will it not?

I definitely want my site to be crawlable!

OG: Group Newsletters

I have OG installed and working (finally). I also have Simplenews. I know that I can assign Group visibility to individual newsletter editions (created using create content >> newsletters).

However, I would like to restrict the ability to subscribe to a newsletter subject (created using administer >> newsletters >> add newsletter) by group.

Sort user list by username (Alphabetically)

I've been searching for a post on how to do this and have yet to come across something. I'm new to drupal, so maybe I'm just missing something. From what I gather, the user list (accessed by site.com/profile) is always sorted based on last access, and in descending order. The question I have is how do I sort that list alphabetically based on username? And maybe after answering that, how would I sort it based on other pieces of information, like join date?

Thanks for the help,
Matt
