Okay, I've gone round and round in the handbook and the forum and actual books and I'm coming across all kinds of snippet stuff here and there and moding tpl's etc.
I just want to be able to have the main content in the content column area on the home page, and place a story (maybe others in the future) in the left sidebar. It seems that I can go into blocks and select a number of different module content to go into any number of different regions... but no way am I finding a way to just say place "this" story on the home page in the left sidebar.
I noticed in 4.7 modules there's a file with some php and sql commands that comes with a .install suffix. Oddly enough i haven't noticed anything in 4.7 that lets me easily install new modules by running that file. What am i missing?
When adding or editing a node (ie page, jans node, etc.) the "Log message:" always appears. It can be confusing for users because they don't know where to then add the main content. How can I turn it off so it doesn't appear for anyone?
I would have thought there would be an option under admin/settings/content-types/ but I'm not seeing one.
Thanks!
Hi there!
I wanted to know if there´s a chance to show in one single number, the whole site´s posts and the whole site´s comments...
Something like:
There are 1225 posts and 15487 comments here, and counting.
Something like this, (see the box at the top right corner, wich shows the total number of posts in the whole site?)
I´ve searched the forums with no luck yet... I think that site is made with Movable Type, so we must have something similar, because Drupal is superior in every way!
I have installed favorite nodes module.
It looks like it is working fine.
But I don´t know how to access the favorite node page.
It doesn t appear in the Menu section to de enabled. (Only the admin one)
