Drupal is up and running but how do I ...?

Displaying Menu Items within blocks

Let me start be saying I am a drupal NOVICE. Actually, I am "php, drupal, etc" NOVICE. Anyway, I need help with displaying menu items. That is hiding and displaying based on user. I have reviewed some of the suggestions relating to php code but I am missing something. I have created several menu items and content to my site. Everything is working fine except I do not want the "Create Content" menu item to display for users who are not logged in. Actually, I would like to create custom blocks with security using php code and then add menu items within those blocks.

Need Help

I have added a page called 'node-content-example.tpl.php' as per given in handbook http://drupal.org/node/62468.

In that its given this too

Now navigate to a node that contains content, something like:

http: //www.example.com/node/27

How can i get the node number as here for example its 27.Exactly what i m not getting is how i will get the message

'HERE IS WHERE YOUR CONTENT WILL GO'

and even not getting the

Checkbox with CCK

How can i put a checkbox (not a radio button) with CCK?

If i have only a choice i don't want to put a Yes o No (with radio buttons).

Annoying horizontal scrolling bar in certain pages with bluemarine theme enabled

In ongalaxy.com I have a (minimal, yet annoying) problem regarding an horizontal scrolling bar appearing in certain pages (ex. my account, add page, add poll, add story, content views...). Mostly in every page taking input or similar, and this happens on all the other sites where I use bluemarine or bluemarine-based theme.

What's the problem? It doesn't show up in MSIE (I don't use it but I always test to make sure people using it don't get left behind).

It's an annoying thing because no element "offsets" the bar so I can't know what's causing it really.

Multisite database sharing problems

Hi All

main site = www.example.com
wales = wales.example.com/en and wales.example.com/cy (or is it cv, can't remember!)
scotland = scotland.example.com

Primarily I'm using cck, views, taxonomy, blogs, i18n, locale, simplenews (and some other stuff that I prolly need to work out whether I actually need!). And the themes used are custom themes to show the different brandings.

I've got a main site setup with all the modules/custom themes/content it needs. The Welsh site will have added i18n+locale for the translation of content.

Previously it worked, in a fashion!, under 4.6

I upgraded the site to 4.7 so that we could utilise the cck for making custom content types. Now I've just realised I have a slight problem, how do I share the majority of the content, but maintain some way of having separate pages?

The main site uses stock 'page' nodes for its' static pages, with cck for the majority of its' content. This is the content that needs to be shared, but the pages need to be separate so that for each other site I can display cck content relevant to that location.

I'm just thinking now whether I've just answered my own question; do I just need to duplicate the functionality of the page node into a new page content-type for the sub-sites so 'scottish site page' and 'welsh site page'. I'm assuming this can be done with cck as everything else I've tried works!

Password

On installing drupal locally when we create user after the first administrator user, it gives the error given below :

warning: mail() [function.mail]: Failed to connect to mailserver at "190.164.0.2" port 25, verify your "SMTP" and "smtp_port" setting in php.ini or use ini_set() in d:\websites\drup_final\modules\user.module on line 430.

So how can we get the password of the users other then the first one.

Please help.
Thankyou.
