The reason why I want to change the blog link because I have created a new page (blogindex) with panels which I wish to replace http://www.example.com/blog
I've got a little "welcome" block which basically just says welcome to my site etc. I'd like it to appear on my front page, right at the top of the content section. At the moment it appears *below* all the most recent news items which obviously isn't too clever. I've tried setting the weight of the block to make it the lightest (-10) but it is still heavier than the news posts.
I have setup my first drupal install. Appears to be an awesome CMS but like everything new, there is a big learning curve. I am new to CMS in general. I am not sure I can ask the question intelligently.
I am having a problem removing the initial content that shows on the home page when you first login. The page that says "Welcome to your new drupal website!"
I have activated the forum module and want that to display as the home page.
What do I need to do from here?
I have searched the drupal.org site and really didn't find my solution after 2 hours.
Could someone please help me with figuring out how to get rid of the gap that is appering below the content area when there isn't enough content? More specifically, the "gap" is produced by the body's background color (grey) showing though and I would just like to make the gap have the same background color as the content area (white). You can see what I'm talking about here:
