Drupal is up and running but how do I ...?

can't login with admin (I've already cleared the cookies)

Hello there

Everything was working fine, but suddenly I couldn't log-in!.

I was checking at the forums and they said it's maybe because the cookies, I've cleared them and nothing changed.

Then I created a new user which I could log-in, but still can't access (is not that I've forgot the pass).

So my question would be, how I can turn this new user into ADMINISTRATOR?...can I do this from the database (I have phpmyadmin installed)

Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks

David.

Need help with multi site docs

Hi, all!

I am working on multi site docs, on the drupal documentation mailing list, but I need some help!

I need information on the following:
how to edit apache conf (changing doc root and alias)
how to create .htaccess file to change domains

Also various use cases, such as, if drupal is in a subdirectory, if drupal is in a subdomain, etc, etc, etc.

Chatroom - Not able to access chats

Hi all,
I am trying to install chatrooms module without much success. I can install ok, but when I try to access the chats, I get an error stating I have been kicked out for being naughty.

Also, is it possible to configure so that only admins can create chatrooms but users can create their own chats?

Thanks.

Views Module: Viewing blog posts by authenticated users?

Hoping someone knows how to accomplish this with Views...

- I have a view set up to display a views block that has the last 5 blog teasers from authenticated users
- There are two filters in my view:

CPU Performance issue

Grretings to the wonderful Drupaler's community.

I am running a Drupal. 4.6.8 site, on a hosted server. It is a localised version and I have quite some modules (contributed ones as well). However:

Since recently my users are getting very frequently a Service Temporarily Unavailable (503) message from the server, and my provider is telling me that the problem is somewhere in the drupal queries, which eat up 100s times more resources than any other hosted sites.

Problem displaying images in nodes

I'm setting up a site with drupal, and I had it working beautifully, when I read about people linking to images and using up server resources. Since I wanted my site to be secure from the outset I decided to take the advice of some of the forum posts and move my files folder out of the public_html directory.

I've now got two files folders in a private directory. The first one was created by drupal when I changed the settings in admin>file system settings, but I found I could not upload to it, or change the chmod settings on it, because drupal created it as owned by apache.
