Post installation

My cool new website at http://www.myallo.com includes several important pages that consist of PHP code. This code puts out HTML that uses certain CSS styles. What I do now is disallow changing themes, and I placed the required CSS inside the theme style.css file.

I've spent hours searching the forum and I'm stuck.

I originally set up my site as :

www.site.com/drupal.

After I had it running I registered a new domain name and have the url www.newdomain.com forwarded to www.site.com/drupal.

However, When I send an email to a new user it shos the %uri as "www.site.com/drupal".

I recently moved from a VPS account to a Linux shared hosting account. Everything in the transfer worked fine, and I think drupal is running more efficiently now.

When I clicked on admin -> settings I got this error at the top of the page (drupal loaded; this was in the red error box):

warning: mkdir(): SAFE MODE Restriction in effect. The script whose uid is 99576 is not allowed to access /tmp owned by uid 0 in /vservers/x3ocomag/htdocs/gaming1/includes/file.inc on line 91.
The directory /tmp does not exist.

Any clue what that means, or how to resolve?

When I try to delete a guestbook entry I get "page not found"

any suggestions on what's happening?

Well I wouldn't say "dumb" exactly, but it is inaccurate. Example: I have content about the Miami Dolphins. If someone searches for Miami Dolphins Quarterback or Miami Dolphins mascot, search will come back with no results??? I thought the terms "Miami" and "Dolphins" would trigger some results, but they don't unless OR is added between the words -- ex: Miami OR Dolphins OR Quarterback.

I think I need to apply this blogroll patch to get it working properly with 4.7.x and have had a look to see how to do it here but can't follow it. It's talking about the command line and that's not something I'm familiar with. I'm used to ftp access to my site and a very very little bit of use of PHPadmin.

Can someone interpret those instructions for me, or give me a step by step idiots guide?
