Drupal is up and running but how do I ...?

AcidFree and Menus

How difficult would it be to set up a (sub)menu which contains automatically generated links to newly created albums? (And automatically removes deleted albums)?

Something like so:

Home
Gallery >> (Submenu with albums)
Contact
About us

Unable to see profiles of users with no navigation history

I just noticed that an authenticated user cannot see the user profile page of another authenticated user. For example, say user 'kate' searches for other users and finds 'bob'. But if bob has only registerd himself to this drupal-based site and never actually logged in. In this case, kate sees bob in a list of search result, but when kate clicks the link to visit his profile page (url: user/#), kate gets 'page not found' error. However, users with a privilege to administer users can see bob's profile. This seems a bit odd.

a little slow here..... multiple templates for one site?

Im questioning my intelligence here cause I KNOW others surely have had the same question, but I must not be searching the right terms...

how do i use multiple themes for the same site? ie one theme for administrative pages and a different them for other pages and maybe a third for the homepage...

thanks, dutler

Path aliasing doesn't hide internal paths?

I'm wondering if there is a way to hide the drupal internal paths from public consumption.

If i enable the path module and type in an alias for a node:

e.g. node/9 --> "about_us"

BOTH

www.example.com/about_us (my alias)
www.example.com/?q=node/9 (drupal internal path)

are publicly accessible.

The real way to make Gallery module work

okay, i finally made it work

I read the instructions

in the install notes of the module ...... but no help there
in the http://drupal.galleryembedded.com ..... but no help there either
in the gallery module help section .... not there at all

so i played with it for 6 hours straight --- and i got it to work!!

here is the answer:

What Module Would You Reccomend for Showing YouTube Videos on Drupal Blog

If I want to show YouTube videos on Drupal Blog then do I need to add a module?
What steps should I take for this?

Thanks.
