Post installation

At the bottom of forum topics, there are links to the author of the post, the forum category, and "add a new comment". How can I access this area? I'd like to have a link there that allows users to create a new custom node type with a reference to that forum topic. I've read some about the service links module which adds links for slashdot or digg but I don't see anything about creating new drupal nodes.

I'm trying ban a cacheing web proxy using access control.

So far I have added a rule.
- deny
- host
- Mask (I used the url and this didn't work)

A dns look up was done for the "proxy" site and I make two more rule using the dns IPs and this didn't work even after clearing the browser cache.

What am I missing.

I am having an issue viewing images, and hoping that someone can help me out. I have uploaded 2 images directly to my files directory. Let's call them img1 and img2.

The problem comes in with the way a logged in user (me) and an anonymouse user (still me, but a different test computer) can see the images.

As every forum needs smileys I downloaded the smiley module. On the settings page I can select if smileys are to be applied to nodes and/or comments. I want them to be applied to all comments and to forum topics only (so not to news, blog entries etc.)

What's the best way to do this?

Besides widgEditor which does not work well (at all) in Firefox for now, and not tinyMCE, which is buggy - for me anyway.

How can I add a custom block to the content region so it is being showed before the actual content, rather than after it?
