how do i create this ?

is there a way to customize an existing node, like the story node or project, through a web interface. I need to add/remove some field. I can create a new custom node with CCK but I need some node-features (like in project node) that is difficult (for me) to create. Can anyone help, please? Thanx.

Ok I installed drupal 5. I am at this moment converting my articles to drupal. Now can anyone help me. I want to have menu with categories and when I click on the link in the menu it takes me to the list of articles ( which are static pages ) with 200 character preview of the article....

Can someone please quickly guide me how to do this. I was browsing the forum and saw that categories in admin panel will probably be something for me but I am kind of lost here .....

I'm wondering if anybody knows whether flexinode will be updated to run on Drupal 5 ? I know it was supposed to be depreciated in favour of CCK but not sure if this is still the case.

If so, whats the upgrade path from a purely flexinode system to a CCK one ?

I have recently started using Drupal (which is awesome btw) but have come across a slight problem that I need to find a way around.

I have 3 tabs in the Primary Links, each containing an iframe with a website in it. My problem is that when you click away from the tab onto another one, then return to the tab, the iframe will go to its original link whereas i need it to open at the point the user left the webpage (in a single session).

Is there a way of doing this without having to have a single page with my own tabs put onto it (therefore reducing space??)

I'm having trouble getting the comment_closer.module to work. Am using Drupal v.4.7.4 and comment_closer.module,v 1.7. I have it set to close comments on blog nodes after a month, on a daily basis. Have cron running okay, every half hour. However, comments are still open on blog posts dated 2 years ago. Has anyone else had trouble with this module?
