Post installation

Hello,

I've been fine-tuning a couple of things on a site I've been working on, and today the forum module completely died on me. It's quite likely it was something I did while I was fiddling around with other things, but I've tried to go back to the way I had it and no luck.

What it's doing:
When I try to create a container (or forum) under Forums (Administer>Content Management>Forums) it allows me to do either, and even confirms that the newly created container or forum was created successfully, but then under list nothing appears and under the main Forums link (site.com/forum or site.com?q=forum) it says "No forums defined". Also interesting, I've checked the content types for forum topic, container, and category and none of them say to promote to the front page .. but if I look on my front page, the new container/forum I just created is there. Just the title, no additional information, and editing it gives me no additional options. When I view the newly created content from the content page, the content type is blank.

What I've tried:
Administer>Menus>Forums>Reset
Unchecking and then later rechecking the forum module checkbox.
Many other things I can't remember. (Obviously I don't really know what I'm doing).

I'm a 4.7 user and have been using the "inline" module for displaying an image in a post. Is there a better way in 5.0 or do we still have to use this somewhat cumbersome method still? The inline module has not been updated to work with 5.0 so I'm not able to switch my sites without loosing all my images.

I got 4.7 up and running and I'm drowning in menu configurations. Trying to grasp the taxomnomy concept...

But does anyone know a probably really simple thing: how do you you have no author for a story or page? Especially the static pages where I just want some introductory copy.

I've discovered that if I leave the author field blank (in the create content) it creates "aunonomous author" but this is probably worse than a name. I know this can be done because I've seen many Drupal sites with no author posted. Thanks so much,

Hi, I'm trying to make a simple list using the views module. I have my taxonomy with the parent

Washington, DC
--DC News
--DC Reviews
--DC Shows

I want the list to have articles from both the parent and child categories.

Under filters in the View admin, add Taxonomy - show all of and pick the Washington DC category. But nothing shows up. It says something about the depth option, but after trying all and 1 and anything else google could find I still came up short.

I'm having trouble getting TinyMCE running on 5.0. I went through similar dramas getting it running on 4.7.x and I've noticed that the install instructions are clearer with this latest release. I've had this running on 4.7.5 so I must be smart enough.

I've downloaded the module and the libraries and installed as per the README.TXT file to sites/all/modules and the libraries to \sites\all\modules\tinymce\includes\.

I can update the settings under Home>Administer>Site Configuration but I cannot see the editor when I create content.

Hi everyone, I am new to Drupal. I am having m very first drupal website running Drupal v5. I am designing power point slides for the entire Holy Bible in arabic language, and I am having a couple of questions.
1. Is there any module OR a way of letting users selecting the Holy Bible Book title> Chapter number, and then they have the option to download it ?
