I know as an admin you can create custom fields for peoples profiles. However is there a way to make it so one of these fields can only be edited by an admin but viewed by everyone? You know so I can set different administrative groups like moderators etc. and each 'group' has it's own name. If it could be edited by the user they could pretty much make themselves look like administrators or moderators etc. Maybe I missed something...I am relatively new, only installed it today :) but I'm learning quickly :D
I want to insert a code to track our statistics on our website and I was wondering if anyone can guide me as to where I can go to enter the code directly. It is not for google analytics. The program is stat counter. Our website is http://www.synaxiom.com. I have become quite accustomed to adding and modifying our website as drupal is fairly straight forward, but to specifically insert this text I was unsure where to go. If anyone can let me know it would be really appreciated. Thanks :)
I have a heiarchy of categories for my content, which I'd like to list as an expandable list in a block on my sidebar. I don't see any default option in Drupal 5 to do this... Please advise if you know how.
Hello. I've just managed to install Drupal 5 and plan to use it for personal blogs for me and my friends (it is great, thanks to all involved!). I know that my question might sound a bit stupid for most, but how do I center the title in the header (I disabled the logo, I just want the title to be visible)? Thank you in advance.
After 15 months without any changes to my site other than adding content, I find myself wanting to upgrade from 4.6 to 4.7 and install new modules. Wow! So much has changed since I last did anything with Drupal. I'm very excited and happy to see all the work that has been done.
So I've decided to expand my site to include a lot more content and of different types. (So far it has just been portfolio and pricing information for my photography.) For the first time since I installed Drupal in late 2005 I find myself looking at vocabularies again. At the time they didn't make sense to me, but now they do. (I think...)
But when I went in to create my new terms I discovered that there are approximately 1,118 copies of a Newsletter vocabulary. (43 "pages" as I scroll by clicking in the empty part of the scroll bar, with 26 instances per page.)
I have no idea how these were created. I certainly didn't do it manually. I don't even recall having installed any newsletter vocabularies or anything in the past. Screenshot:
So I've been getting stuck into making Drupal 4.7 (and 5.0) work with Nginx, which is a bit like Lighttpd except without the firehose-esque memory leaks you get with Lighty and actual web traffic busier than a trickle.
