Post installation

Hi I am relatively new to Drupal but have installed 4.7.3 and since moved on and did a clean install of 5.0

anyway in 4.7.3 i was able to upload files in 5.0 i get the heading of File Attachment but i do not get the field or browse buttons showing up. I have looked at the upload module and the file system settings and they appear to be correct..

i guess i am wondering how to debug this and essentially how to get it to work but i would enjoy learning the thought process behind solving this problem.

Basically im trying to place a image above the content on the page. For example

then content here

blah

Now im new to the drupal things so bare with me. And im no code master by all mean. So take it easy on me. But any help would be appreciated or direct me to something thats i can understand. Thanks.

Is there a way to notify an AOL instant messenger user? I have a need to communicate with email users and AIM users. Is it possible to do this with Drupal? I am looking at Organic Groups and would like to find out if there is a way to send correspondence to AIM users through Drupal.

Firstly i Apologize if this is in the wrong place, I'm new to Drupal and only started using it yesterday :P

This is a tip not a problem.

If you want to be able to reuse .htaccess files with out having to type in the needed example.com part of the with WWW part of the file.

simply use these lines instead of what is in the file already:

Hi, I am working on a classifieds website. Create an ad with free and paid listings. For the paid listings I created a new content type called "bold listings" through CCK. I want to sell the ability to create that one ad and not a subscription. I've searched through the drupal site and can't find any mention of how to do this. Can anyone help me with some bold broad suggestions on how to put this together using the Ecommerce module.

The process would be something like this:

1. Create CCK "bold listing"
2. Go to checkout to pay
3. Publish "bold listing"

Copied over this module into my /modules folder, like i've done with so many other modules.

It shows up in my modules list, i turn it on, save. There are no errors. But when i go to administer (/admin/by-module) - it doesn't show up, nor is there any functionality that's showing up. I've never used this module before, so maybe i'm just missing something like, where it shows up? I'm assuming it'd show up as a block.

Anybody have any ideas?
