Post installation

I have given anonymous users the right to create forum topics at my drupal site. However, they don't have the ability to leave any contact info, like name or e-mail. How can I enable this?

I'm using Drupal 5.1 and the "Show block on specific pages" option doesn't appear to be working correctly. When I select the "Show on only the listed pages" option and indicate the following as the rule for that option:

np/*

and then I go to http://mysite/np/some_page, the block does not show on that page. However, if instead I select the PHP option, "Show if the following PHP code returns TRUE," and use the following code, the block does show on the page:

I'm trying to create a user list of members of my site with certain roles (writers & supporters) and links to their profiles.

I've only started using the "Views" module but I don't seem to be having much luck with it, all I seem to be doing is getting a list of nodes instead of users ( http://scriobh.org/content/users ) Is there any way of just getting one listing for each user?

My drupal portal will be mainly used in a Wi-Fi envirronement with no security (no wep, wpa, etc). When a user authenticates on the drupal page (http) the password is clearly sent on the network. Which lets the opportunity to anyone to sniff it.

The simple solution would be to put the whole portal behind a secured https connection. But that doesnt work very well (check: http://drupal.org/node/119363).
