Stick to 5 for Workflow-ng?

I need to be able to schedule articles to be published weeks in advance, and it seems that Workflow-ng is my best bet, however it's not recommended for 6.x. Should I stick to 5.x just for Workflow? I see theres a 6.x project called Rules, but it doesn't seem stable yet.

Thanks in advance.

Hostagor mysql error

I called hostgator cause i couldn't login and they changed my password,

now every time i try to login it says:

Site off-line

from 5.7 -> 6.2 images no longer show; spent many hours on this, no solution found

I upgraded from 5.7 to 6.2 and everything went smoothly until I discovered that not a single image showed. All articles etc were there, I could see all galleries (about a dozen or so) and all associated text but not the images, I could still link to them as I never moved the files/images dir.

Checked similar problems on the forum but found no way to resolve this.

The upgrade went smoothly, I ran update.php and put the site back online.

Upgrading 4.7 to 5.x missing all CCK Data

I just upgraded from 4.6 to 5.2(i think) i followed all the correct steps, ran upgrade.php and updated all the modules with no errors. Almost everything is working, but some nodes are coming up completely blank. All the CCK Field data is gone. When it was installed in 4.6 i did use node revisions from time to time. Looking into the Database all the content is still there, the correct nid and vid are associated -- it just doesn't want to show up.

also some node types are blank, others are not. One nodetype has the 10 most recent created nodes blank, the rest are fine.

Correct way to upgrade a module?

What is the correct way to upgrade a module, say from views-alpha to views-beta?

I always just remove the .../modules/[name] directory and then untar the tarball of the new release.

Is this the right way to do it, or is there something I am missing?

Database update

I have just updated a number of modules, and my site is still in offline mode. I've experienced this problem a number of times, but reloading the page usually gets me around it.

When I am on the update.php?op=selection page (selecting from all the available updates), when I click the update button, I get something similar to a White Screen of Death, however there is one line on it: Views plugins build time: 42.468 ms. It is wrapped in a

tag, but besides that, nothing. I've gotten this before, but it was never an issue, since it wasn't when I was submitting something, especially something of this importance.

The updates that are defaultly selected on the select screen are (I found it by reloading the page as I always did whenever this happens):

Sections module: 6000

Google Analytics module: 6003

Weather module: 6200

Also, I have been getting an error on every page load since I updated the code behind the Sections module (figured I'd run the database update to try and fix it before posting about it in the issue queue).
