FAQ after upgrade

hello,

i know similar threads have been opened, but i just don't seem to quite get, how to fix this. here's what i did:

1) disabled all modules (incl. the faq module)
2) upgraded drupal from 6.1 to 6.4 (yup, this happened a month ago or so :)
3) ran the update.php

now after switching back everything to normal, the faq entries and categories vanished from the faq page. the faq entries can still be found under contents, so they exist.

Should I move to Drupal 6?

Currently I'm running a site on D5.

What are the considerations to really move to D6? I already have manually installed few modules which are now on core D6 such as password strength, latest jquery and some caching capabilities.

What other advantages moving to D6? My biggest doubt is on modules availability on D6 which are not complete as in D5. Also some modules are still in beta or dev mode on D6 while running as production on D5. Though D6 has some modules that D5 don't have.

The dreaded white screen after upgrade from 5.12 to 6.6

Hi,

My site uses Dutch as it's primary language, so in localization I enabled Dutch and disabled English. For the upgrade I reversed this: disabled Dutch, enabled English and made it the default. I also turned off cache.

Next, I set the site to maintenance-mode and disabled all contributed modules in the admin section. Then I deleted those modules from the directory. I set the theme to Garland and deleted the contributed theme.

Then I uploaded drupal 6.6 and added the $update_free_access = TRUE; line to settings.php

I loaded update.php and got the blank page. If I try to load the frontpage I get:

Warning: Unknown column 'language' in 'where clause' query: SELECT src FROM url_alias WHERE dst = 'actueel' AND language IN('en', '') ORDER BY language DESC in /home/oldambt/igsd-oldambt.net/includes/database.mysql.inc on line 128

Fatal error: Call to undefined function: user_access() in /home/oldambt/igsd-oldambt.net/includes/menu.inc on line 2418

I have tried several options, going back and forth with the backup. But whatever I do this is where it stops.

Any pointers?

Thanks in advance, Erik-Jan
