PHP problem upgrading 6.6 to 6.8

I upgraded a site from Drupal 6.6 to 6.8. Started receiving errors on most page requests:
-----------------------------------------
Error 500 - Internal server error

An internal server error has occured!
Please try again later.
-----------------------------------------
Not seeing any obvious problem in the database or any useful messages, I tried upgrading from PHP 4 to 5 and the problem went away.

Just tried another site, same problem, same results. It appears that there is still a PHP 4 compatibility issue in release 6.8.

Upgraded to 6.8, now I can't get into the Admin console

I performed the update from 6.6 to 6.8 and my website still works, I can edit individual pages, but I cannot get into the Administer controls. This is particularly frustrating because my site is still in offline mode as per the upgrade instructions! Can anyone point me in the right direction to roll back or fix this? Thanks very much!

How to upgrade 1000's of sites at once?

Hello,

I'm going to upgrade from 6.2 to 6.8. I have lots of clients (more than 1000) and I don't have passwords for their accounts, even if I had that'd be too much to go through so many sites and take them manually offline then upgrade then take them online. So how do I take them all offline?
Should I just stop the MySQL database, upgrade, then bring the database online?

Can't access user profiles after upgrading to Drupal 6

Hi all,

I have recently upgraded to Drupal 6.8 from Drupal 5 - after upgrading, I could not access user profiles anymore. I tried using the first user account which is supposed to have access to that but I could not access user profiles.

Where do I set the permissions for this? I have enabled "administer users" under Admin - User Management - Permissions

And running a script like this works:

Should I upgrade each point version from 5.2 to 5.14 or just do one jump?

I've got the job of upgrading a Drupal 5.2 install to the current v5 (5.14 as of today).

Is there any reason not to simply upgrade to 5.14 in one jump? Should I step through each minor version?

Thanks for your educated advice.

Tim

Is the "disable developer modules" menu item on the administration menu module alternative to manual disable?

If so, how come the check boxes on the developer module list are still marked as enabled?

Also, how do I then enable the developer modules? The menu item remains on disable rather than change to enable.

thanks
