Thanks for your support.
Below is the message that is given when trying to delete outdated modules.
Where should I start in locating this problem?

older modules being pushed

i have set up my sites to notify of available updates. i am continually being notified that File Entity & Media need to be updated. however, the versions that are being recommended are older than what i have installed (and which are working great).

for File Entity, i have 7.x-2.0-unstable7+84-dev, and for Media i have 7.x-2.0-unstable7+53-dev. i'm being advised to install the 7.x-2.0-unstable7 versions of each -- which did not work very well.

upgrade from 6.15 to 7.2x

I inherited a D6 site and need to upgrade it to the latest D7. Below is what is installed. I'd assume start over but they have lots of entries they don't want to lose plus it's SEO'ed in fairly well.

Any ideas on an upgrade path would be very much appreciated!

Complicated question about whether to update to Drupal 7, and how to do a redirect to a new domain name

I have some questions about how to proceed on my website. I am a beginner to intermediate level user of Drupal and web development/marketing in general. I do not know coding. The website is a simple brochure style website for a medical practice with about 80 pages.

I want to move the site to a new domain that may have SEO benefits. My current site runs on Drupal 6.13. I have to decide whether I want to upgrade Drupal to 6.28 and update the modules and just do a 301 redirect to the new domain, or build a new site from scratch on Drupal 7 on the new domain. I want to keep the time and cost to a minimum.

Some things to consider are:

I really like the theme I am running on my current site (it has been tweaked and customized) so if I upgrade to Drupal 7 I would have to change themes and may have to get someone to customize it for me.

I am told that my current file system in my hosting account for my current site is really messed up, such that it would take some work and knowledge just to do an update to 6.28.

I am not sure if I will get SEO benefits from the domain name (it is an exact match domain name) if I simply do a 301 redirect, versus build the new site on the domain with a new hosting account (within my same host but a new account and IP address).

Upgrading Drupal 7.22 to Drupal Commons distribution

Hello,

I am new here.

When I bought my domain and hosting, they installed Drupal 7.22. The problem is that I want to install a Drupal Distribution called "Commons" but I am not able to do it. What should I do? I am confused since I have just started using Drupal one week ago.

Thanks in advance.

Can't open sqlsrv/database.inc after Drupal core update on Windows/IIS/SqlServer

I successfully installed Drupal 7.14 on Windows with IIS and SQL Server. I did this using the Web Platform Installer 4.5. I went to upgrade to Drupal 7.22 Core following the instructions from https://drupal.org/node/1494290

When I go to the site after the upgrade I get a 500 error from IIS. In the PHP Error log I see:
