I am working for a financial company and I want to upgrade Drupal 6. x to Drupal 7.x. My daughter is also learning a new version of Drupal. I am not familiar with this technology but just trying to upgrade by myself instead to go to support team.
I heard about the Drush site-upgrade command supports upgrades from Drupal 6.x to Drupal 7.x.
Do you have any video link of complete tutorial? If you will provide me Site-upgrade Commands I will try it in better way.
I am completely STUCK. I've been at this all day and NO one seems to have answers or even seen this.
I am upgrading a site from D6 to D7.34.
Before I began the Upgrade the site and all mods were fully update.
The theme I used was Garland. It might be useful to note that I had to recreate the entire database BEFORE I could upgrade from D6 to D7 (new database name, password, user and import all the old data using phpmyadmin)
I converted all the tables to INNODB.
The default table type on the system (under Plesk) is MyiSAM.
I'm updating a new drupal 7 site, I mean, it's an already up and running drupal 7 site which is being made brand new and afterwards we'll transfer the content from one to the other.
While building the new site I realized that one of the modules (webform 7.x-4.2) told me it needs PHP 5.3. but my server is still running on 5.2.11, so after talking to my webhosting they tell me that it's not a problem I can migrate to a PHP 5.3.10 or PHP 5.4.4 server... it's a pretty straight forward procedure through a STORM app on the hosting control panel.
So I had a drupal 7.31 install running fine then during an OS upgrade and restructuring I destroyed the web folder drupal was installed in and did not have a backup..
Long story short, now I am left with a MySQL database (complete and functional), and the content of what was stored in the "private filesystem path"..
