Drupal 4.6.6 upgrade warning: theme engines are not included in tarball

I just happened to notice that the xtemplate theme engine is not included in the 4.6.6 tarball. If you do the upload/replace approach, depending upon how your client works, you could end up disabling your site if it uses xtemplate theme engine. (If /themes/engines is replaced wholesale, no new xtemplate folder will be uploaded to replace the possibly-deleted one.)

Also, the php template folder that is included is empty.

So be careful out there.

4.4 to 4.5 to 4.6 upgrade. I get drupal.flood and drupal.search_total errors after CRON jobs.

All,

This past weekend, I updated my personal site from 4.4 to 4.5, and then from 4.5 to 4.6. It went pretty OK, and I even have the image module working through the upgrade. (Note - I'm changing DSL providers this week, so the site is offline.)

Now I just have a few niggling problems. I'll attack them one at a time.

The first is a set of errors that always appears after my hourly running of cron.php. In the logs, when the cron.php job runs, I get two errors:

Table 'drupal.flood' doesn't exist query: DELETE

HDI rollback update 174?

I upgraded my site to 4.7 beta 5, but unfortunately the ongoing BASE HREF issue really screws with my site. No problem, I'll just rollback to beta 4. Unfortunately, somewhere along the line, my database backup was corrupted.

I've managed to revert the changes to the files table that 173 made, but my comments are a bit screwy (update 174): http://su.nottingham.ac.uk/~impact/james/the-nus-whining-about-tuition-f... is an example.

Upgrading a multi-site installation on 4.7

I have a multi-site 4.7b4 set-up with a number of non-critical sites running live in the following configuration

-Group 1 (sharing users)
--- Site 1
--- Site 2
--- Site 3
--- Site 4

-Site 5 (completely separate)

-Group 2 (sharing users)
--- Site 6
--- Site 7

I'm planning ahead for an upgrade to 4.7b5.

Is there anything I need to be aware of, or any special method, when it comes to this kind of upgrade?

Do I run the upgrade script on every single site, or once per group? etc

Any Upgrade tips for 4.4.6 to 4.6.current?

All,

So, my personal site is still running 4.4.6. Runs fine, but it really should update it.

I'm assuming the upgrade path is:

1. turn off all optional modules.

2. 4.4 to 4.5 (manually adding a few tables to the database, as directed). Run the update script.

3. 4.5 to 4.6. Run the Update script.

4. update each extra module I was using to the current version.

5. Hope for the best.

Sound right?
