I have moderately customized various modules of my 4.6.5 installation and need to know which specific files were updated between 4.6.5 and 4.6.8. The change log lists the changes, but not the specific files.
Is there a handbook page on using update.php for contributed modules? (I can't find one.)
I've been running update.php every time I install a new module. (I've also been running it every time a module comes out with a new version, such as the versions that are only 7 days apart, to fix a bug.)
Am I supposed to do this?
Do I do this before or after I enable the module? Does it matter?
Some people refer to the screen will ask you which updates you want to run.
I've upgraded from 4.6.5 to 4.7.2. It seemed to go fine until I tried to install some new themes. I downloaded one and it shows up in the list, but there's no screenshot and when I select it as the default, my blocks disappear and there's no styling whatsoever. How do you upgrade Drupal if you install it to root?
I usually install software into subdirectories.
So when the need for upgrade comes, I just install the new files into a new subdirectory, when the upgrade is done, I just change the names of the upgrade subdirectory to the live directory.
Any step by step guide for upgrade if you install to root?
