I am about to upgrade a really old drupal installation (4.3?) manually to 4.7. Nodes in the old version can be addessed bei this url:
/node/view/nid. In 4.7 its /node/nid. The are quite a lot of inbound links to the site, which should not break. How can I maintain compatibility?
I am using a staging site to upgrade a corporate intranet from 4.6 to 4.7.3. Everything is going relatively well except that I can't get the login block to show up ANYWHERE! I have enabled, disabled, moved it from right to left and back, changed it's weight, everything I can think of. But the darn thing won't show.
Anyone have any clues as to where to look so I can solve this issue?
http://www.undergrowth.org is a non-profit, grassroots community publishing site focusing on counterculture, activism, new paradigm thought and consciousness-raising meme making. We host art, literature, journalism, ebooks, videos, audio - the whole shebang (check it out!) , and like many grassroots orgs we do it all on zero budget and a shoestring crew of volunteers that are currently stretched to their limits. We have one stressed out drupal coder who has helped with our theming and finds time to fix bugs very irregularly, and after a year of being online and having our bugs in public view we're hampered in our growth and ability to get our message out there by a lack of drupal support.
We'd love to hear from ANYONE who has a little bit of time and might be willing to help with our site on whatever basis, piecemeal, casual, part-time etc... Ideally we don't want to burden any one person but believe in the open source network model and eventually want a floating contributor base for drupal coding as we do with the rest of our editing, art direction and creative facilities. At the moment we're desperate to upgrade to 4.7 to be able to implement some of the upgrades it offers, and we have other pressing issues (like becoming compatible with IE 4.5 which most of the world seems to still be on and skews our site) if anyone wants a crack at helping and becoming part of the collective...
Hi - maybe this is a really stupid question, but where can I find a version number for my Drupal site. I launched it last year, so I really can't remember.
I've looking in install.txt, but there's nothing there.
I'm having a very annoying problem trying to upgrade my sites from 4.6.x to 4.7.x I have tried a few different versions and no matter what I do, the same thing happens.
