Upload module not working

I just completed the upgrade to 5.5. However, the upload module is acting funny. As the administrator, it works fine. However, I have a manager role set up for some users. They have full permissions to the upload module. But when they (or any other role), tries to login, it does not work. They choose the file, and the progress bar appears, and stays. If you submit it, it shows 2 copies uploaded, the original file and a _0 file. But if you look on the server, there is no file uploaded at all.

upgraded to 5.5, now my browser tries to download homepage instead of viewing it!

Now that I've upgraded from 5.3 to 5.5, the homepage won't load. My browsers (firefox, safari) try to download any .php pages. index.php, etc.

When I upgraded, I backed up everything and wiped my webroot. Next, I installed 5.5 and copied back files/, files/.htaccess, and settings.php.

I followed these instructions:

Change in $node->path access for anonymous users since Drupal 5.2?

I've been trying to debug an issue with a custom module and figured out that the problem occurred in our upgrade from Drupal 5.2 to Drupal 5.3. We have a custom module that we want to display content on a specific page so we set it up to trigger when the target path came up:

Confused ...

Hi @ALL

I am a bit confused - my brain seems to be empty...god forsake I need somebody with a solution.

The situation:
I am running since nearly 2 years a german web site "soccer-wikki".
There are three domain names for it.
1. soccer-wikki.de, which is redirected by .htaccess to
2. soccer-wikki.info, the main site running on Drupal v4.7
3. soccer-wikki.net, which is now running on Dupal v5.5

Both sides, .info and .net are now online.
I used the .net for migrating to 5.5 and now, everything seems to be okay.

Advice before upgrading from 4.7.x to 5.5

I've got a site that's currently on 4.7.x and I want to upgrade (at long last) to drupal 5.x Are there any special steps to needed when moving to a new branch or do the usual steps of upgrading versions apply?

Upgrade from 5.3 to 5.5 still shows version as 5.3

I updated from 5.3 to 5.5 yesterday and when log in as user 1, I get warning messages about my version of Drupal being out of date and the installed version shows as 5.3. I did the update first on my test server, and that worked fine, then on the real server, so I'm not sure what might have gone wrong. Has anyone seen this before?
