I have several static html business directories and I really want to upgrade them to a CMS - Drupal has been recommended by several people. My biggest concern though, is the design. I would like to keep my same layout and design. Is it possible to customise my design totally or does one always have to use skins? How difficult is it to cusotmize the skins?
The seond most important thing that I need is to be able to cross-categorize data. Is Drupal right for me?
Hello Drupal users,
I'm a newb when it comes to drupal, but I have decided to use drupal for a client of mine. I'm a little worried since I don't know a lot about drupal but have installed it in the past and played with it a bit. I would like recommendations from users to see if drupal is right for me.
My client wants
A Website which will need to incorporate.
I am new to the linux administration world and want to download and install a linux build for developing a Drupal site. I have experience updating web sites on linux platforms and have some php programming experience. The only builds I have any knowledge of is Fedora and Debian.
My question is: I have a spare PC and want to start a test site with Drupal 5 or 6, with no preference for a specific build, what is my best bet in getting an OS for Drupal?
Installed and configured my Drupal 5.x multisites (main site and subsite) with separate databases, the main site works fine.
I use cPanel to create a new database for my subsite. But how to create the tables for the datebase?
For Drupal 4.7 I always find a file database.mysql that can be used to importe tables to the database with cPanel. But for Drupal 5.x I CANNOT find this database file. How can I create those core tables for a separate database?
I am sure this has been asked in some format...but, thinking of using Drupal as the foundation for a Breakfast business networking component...but, I want to pre-authorize who can login based on membership dues....Can you tell me the correct terminology and how I would go about doing this....not specifically, but generally..
