I'm about to start a new site, it would be my first Drupal 8 (have build several Drupal 7 sites).
Most of the content of this new project comes from an external xml file. The site would be syncing every hour with the xml file: adding, updating and deleting nodes depending on the xml source. So I heavily depend on this process.
Just checking if root is the super admin account for a drupal website?
If so, I have an issue accessing the password for this as the password is incorrect, and it may belong to another email address. Is there any way to resolve this problem?
I've downloaded and experimented with Drupal 8 for the past 3 months or so and would like to now start using Drush/Compose for multiple unrelated site projects.
My question is if there is a guide somewhere or something I can read or watch to learn the "best practices" for setting up a local development environment, remote staging and production workflow? I'm familiar with running WAMP locally (Windows 10), as well as working in Linux CLI remotely through SSH.
I'm not very tech-savvy but I have a website running on WordPress. It seemed quite easy at first but when it came to customizing I started to struggle a bit. Mostly because some plugins I need worth budget and they are from the third parties which also bothers me. There are also other related problems with performance. The more I add the slower it works.
Hi! I'd like to ask a super basic but very important question for me. I'm running a review website on WordPress and continuously expand it with new content. The problem is I observ the performance decline with every several pages I add. My question is for those who gave up WP for the Drupal: is there a noticeable difference in the page loading speed after the mentioned transition? In general, what are the pros/cons of both systems from your perspective? Please, answer only from your personal experience.
