Can Drupal & modules make a nice job board....????

I have seen post on the web that mention Drupal has modules to make a job board type site. I can find no specific info on this. Can anyone point me in the right direction/

Thank you very much.

newbee - 10 drupal sites[each own db] - how to same username&pw for all sites?

am not really understanding the directions - please help:
I need to have each site [all different domains but on same server] with the same visual look, but each needs to have own DB [for growth] -
we need/trying to have users that signup, be able to use same username and pw on all drupal sites/domains.

What do I need to do to accomplish this?
Really appreciate the help.

Have not installed any drupal yet because I know that I need to know this aspect before I begin.
Thanks a lot.

Review of Open Source

Hello,

mySQL and PHP

I would like to use Drupal for a community web site that I'm developing. We do not have mySQL installed on our server yet. Can I work on the site, using Drupal, before this element is ready to go?
Thank you!

newbie needs help: mySQL, phpMyAdmin, Drupal

(originally posted this as an issue, and that probably wasn't the right place)
(thanks for ANY help)

Project: Drupal
Version: 4.7.3
Component: mysql database
Category: support
Priority: normal
Assigned: Unassigned
Status: active

Description

argh. I've been racking my brain for 3 days with this, and would GREATLY APPRECIATE any help!

Mac OS X 10.4.7
Personal Web Sharing: on
PHP: started
mySQL: loaded

Drupal in: WebServer/Documents
phpMyAdmin-2.8.2.4 in: WebServer/Documents

when I pull up: WebServer/phpMyAdmin-2.8.2.4/index.php

i get:

Firefox can't find the file at /Library/WebServer/Documents/phpMyAdmin-2.8.2.4/left.php
<?php
 echo $url_query;
?>

I have my site hosted with SiteGround.com

That all is working fine!

But...I want a local dev/test environment on my box for theme and content creation, etc.

please help
thanks!

Title: ADD'L INFO: newbie needs help: mySQL, phpMyAdmin, Drupal

also...

running:

mysql-standard-4.1.21-apple-darwin8.6.0-poewrpc (in: /usr/local/)

drupal 4.7 (in: /WebServer/Documents/drupal/)

...and when I try to pull up Drupal in FF I get a splash screen with the following error:

The MySQL error was: Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/mysql/mysql.sock' (2).

any experience with hostmonster?

I've been looking at migrating my tiny little drupal site out of my basement and onto a paid host. hostmonster.com looks like a tremendous deal ($4 / month instead of $25?!?) but I'm wondering if the price isn't... too good.

Does anyone have any feedback about using them?
