Is a Drupal CMS or CmS? II

Hello,

I would like to join some of the previous discussions - this topic may also belongs to "pre-install" questions (forgive me:)

I have found that Drupal has strong taxanomy features - i.e. organizing content, but what if I want to organize objects at first?

For example - I would like to define my own objects and assign their attributes - e.g. images with attributes [title, date, event]; reports with attributes [title, reporter, subject] ...

Doing this, every new thing in the CMS would fall in the hierarchy of the defined existing objects. Can Drupal do this?

and my second question, still very important, is about consistency - could you add comments to Sadian's "cry" below? Is there any chance that I will "organize and present" the content of my library's website without being driven insane?

thank you very much for your help

I have a serious love / hate relationship with drupal. IMHO its the best CMS out there in many ways. I love its flexibilty and modularity.

I would just love to upgrade and stay current with drupal to have all of the latest and greatest, but at the rate that things change in this community and with all of the documentation that I'm sure is great (but doesn't ever help to solve any of my issues), I believe that i'd have to work on upgrading my site full time 40 hours a week just to keep up considering the custom modifications that had to be made to accomodate my needs.

Bulk Email Users

I'm trying to find out if there is a module that let's me send out a bulk email notification to all users on my drupal site. I know about the subscription module but that's not exactly what I have in mind. I'm looking for just a form on the administration pages that allows me to send an email to the users of the site.

It doesn't seem like it would be too hard to implement I just don't want to reinvent the wheel.

No access to own website

Hi,

I did something total stupid. I denied an anonymous user 'acces to content' in the dialogue which handles the permions for each user group. Now nobody is able to access to first page of my website. Maybe this could better be prevented of happening to change this in the future.

But anyway. I am able to get access to the database with PHPMyAdmin, but I do not now which table I have to edit to reverse the setting. Who can helo me?

TNX in advance.

Great Drupal Website Examples

Does anyone have any examples of some great looking drupal websites that don't use the stock themes. I'm interested in what drupal can look at after some extreme theme-fu.

Thanks!

Lexicon about URL

Hi,

Could someone tell me if there is a quick way for finding all command related to module? You know, these we find in url?

EX: I want to view all forum : q?=forum/view

ps: Sorry if my english is corrupted. I think in french ;-)

Organization, Standards, Capitol Letters, Etc

I'm hoping to start my own personal blog ring with Drupal, but I've noticed a few nitpick things.

None of these things defer user intuitiveness or anything like that, but they're just things I've noticed.
