Fighting Spam with Search Engines Help

There's a post on Google's Blog about implementing the rel="nofollow" attribute in order to fight spam. Using this attribute spam comments will not be used to calculate Page Rank (PR), and then there will be no reason for spam posts. There are also talks with Yahoo and MSN to implement this on their search engines.

There are a few blog sofware makers like Wordpress endorsing this initiative.

I think Drupal should be involved too.

redirecting users to different pages

First of all, i'd like to say hello to all of you.

Second, i'm looking for a way in drupal to redirect members to different pages, sort of a login/member system. The key should be that each user can't access the other user area. While reading through functions, and playing with the source of the system, i couldn't find anything that suits my needs.

Did anyone else tried something like this? If so, please let me know.

Thanks in advance.

Mike

Lack of integrated image support a showstopper

Strange that "general discussion" seems to be the only appropriate forum for this post.... no user forums?

Anyway, the lack of out-of-the-box image support for content and posts in Drupal is a complete showstopper for me, and probably most people who just want to set up a decent looking site. I understand there are modules to do this, but I am not interested in any "content management system" that is unaware of images and unable to create documents with embedded images. I have also read too many nightmares about installation of these modules to even want to try.

Calling quote function

i tried to call the function below from a theme it returns random quote id and not the quote?

return quotes_get_quote();

Multi user editing content

Hi,

I am new to drupal, and I have the need to permit several users to edit the same article (node). Currently some articles were created by admin, and other users could not modify them. Is it possible to do this withoud giving all user admin permissions?

Regards,
Luis

Link, Interrupted

Is it possible to 'resume' links to private nodes? If I send a site user an email with a link to a private node, I want him/her to click the link in the email, get redirected to a login prompt, then resume the link to the node once logged in.

At the moment, it seems one must login first, before clicking an externally provided link to a private node.
