Some notes about popular topics.

A) Various people have various motivation for writing and sharing code. Fame, fun, earning money are a few of them. So far, I have not seen any Drupal monk whose motivation is to generously help others by coding.

I hear lots of good things about the soon to be released version 4.7.

Can someone "in-the-know" give us a Readers Digest version of what the coolest things added/changed are? What do we have to look forward to?

I am using drupal -4.6.3. And I didn't see any other requirements to install goofy.

I followed the steps to download goofy theme. And when i try to activate themes. I got this warning .
opendir(themes/goofy): failed to open dir: Invalid argument in c:\inetpub\wwwroot\drupal-4.6
\includes\file.inc on line 524.

Do I have to do anything .

My task is to compare and describe in 10 pages the main advances of my open source choice CMS (Drupal :)) and it's commercial competitors eg. Sun One, IBM Websphere, MS SharePoint etc. I'm not familiar with these ones, so can you help me to describe their major advantages against Drupal? It's a good place to tell the developers your opinion :)

I was experimenting with BlogFlux mainly because of their very neat "Map Stats" -- which show visitors to your website on a big Google map of the whole world. You can see my mapstats here.

Are there any Alumni site (module) for Drupal? I need to create an Alumni site for my high school

The main requirement is to have a registration page with "class of" field so we can separte users by the year they graduated.

So when a registered user logs in he/she can see other users based (grouped by) graduating user.

Also need a forum where they can post.

I am very new to drupal so any help would be much appreciated.
