I would like to know what is the growth rate of the drupal.org community. When I joined I would see that the who's online block on the home page would show 800-1000 guest users and registered users 50-100. Now days the guest users averages between 2500 and 5000 and registered users 80 and 150.
I think it would nice if some one that is a DB admin for drupal.org to run some SQL queries on the users table using the created column.
I've been searching the forums but I can't find the answer to my question
That being, what module does drupal.org use for its module download section?
I need something to display the products a company I don't need a full e-commerce module.
The layout I’m looking for is exactly like the module download section with an image added to the left, any recommendations as to what I can use? or what drupal.org uses?
Recently, my blogging/journaling site has been causing grief with my users. Sometimes, but not everytime, when they go to add their journal entry, the following error shows up on Firefox. I am not sure if IE is encountering the same problems. Here is the error:
The page isn't redirecting properly
Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the request for this address in a way that will never complete.

Can anyone give an idea about what changes to expect in 4.7? I've heard all sorts of rumors and inuendos, but I have no real idea. I recently saw this post while trying to figure out flexinode: http://drupal.org/cck-status. That got me excited & very curious about impending 4.7 changes. What's being added to core? What's structurally going to be different? Will it be difficult to upgrade? Are modules that I already / want to rely on going to be covered by items in the core?
The bigger question, should I keep adding / fixing up modules to make my site more user-friendly or should I wait until the new version comes out to see what I can do with that and what modules I'll then need? I worry that if I keep adding modules, I'm going to make more work for myself when it's time to upgrade. I also worry that something is coming just around the bend that will be closer to what I want, and it will be hard to move all the old content to the new version. This is my first (potential) upgrade experience with drupal.
Before anyone jumps me, here's my disclaimer: I know there are all development forums, mailing lists, etc that I could read up on, but I feel like I'm jumping in the middle of a conversation that is way above my head. I know I could download the latest HEAD release and start experimenting with it, but that's assuming I have a database I could set it up in (I do not) and I know how to get it (I do not).
