advanced search

OK, Drupal's a bit weird with the upgrade.

However while the search box is missing, that doesn't mean you can't check it look: http://drupal.org/search

Try the advanced options - YAY!!

that "aero" something site

Hi,

A few days ago I saw mention of a "not obviously" drupal site with aero in its name.
The site had these chrome and wooden cabinets- what was the name of the site ?

Also, the thread was not entitled "not obviously" drupal, but something similar.
Could someone point me to that thread ?

Thanks,

Can anybody give me a tipp how to move drupal to new DB?

I am customizing my site on local server and resantly reinstall it with new version. I got dumped old base and import it in new one with same name but it seams the password of DB are different and now I have error message:

Warning: mysql_connect(): Access denied for user 'root'@'localhost' (using password: YES) in s:\home\mysite.com\www\includes\database.mysql.inc on line 31
Access denied for user 'root'@'localhost' (using password: YES)

Personal information for Drupal users

Greetings!

I notice that when registering for drupal.org I could enter some personal information (full name, home page, etc.). The out-of-the-box new install of Drupal 4.7-beta6 does not give me this functionality.

What does it take to enable personal information fields for user profiles?

Many thanks for any pointers!

Remove "Submitted on" for Pages - possible?

Greetings:

I'm evaluating Drupal 4.7-beta, and have a few questions. The first one:

When I add a Page, I want it to look as a fundamental part of a web site, not something that was "published" as an add-on. For this reason I want to get rid of the "Submitted by /user/ on Thu, 2006-03-23 17:41." line from the top of the Page. How can I do this in Drupal?

(For a Story, on the contrary, this line is quite acceptable, and even desirable.)

Many thanks in advance!

CMS + CMS = CCMS? (Contact & Content Mangement intergration)

With the creation of a new site,

I found myself with a new need.

This is such a very basic need, I can’t be the only person that finds this gap of integration with software. So, I write this post tonight to discover what others have done to bridge this gap.

Customer and Lead Management

We build sites, customize profile fields, add email and newsletter tools. But there is not a single CMS package on the market that allows you to truly manage your customers and leads. Basically, a good Contact Management System. The tools a Sales force would need.

Sure there are several good Contact and Lead Management Systems on the market. Some even port from the main customer management base to Handhelds, but there is nothing that integrates into a content management system.

We have a very large group of seasoned professionals here and I am just wondering – if and how anyone has bridged this gap.

My first thoughts are to hook into something like OpenOffice, eGroupware, phpGroupware or More.Groupware – but the latter two have been showing slow growth. Especially More.Groupware, last version in 2004.

Then from a different angle I was thinking about hooking in to a Windows based Contact Management System, something like ACT. But who wants to spend their life Importing and Exporting Customers and their data.

So my post tonight, to the group, is to see if anyone has done any integration into a Contact Management system. I guess it would even be a new breed… a CCMS.
