Which module does Drupal.org use for the 'subscribe to security updates'? I really like the way the email appears in the box, and that afterwards, on that page, you will see 'unsubscribe' if you are already subscribed.
I had to come up with a backup routine for a few Drupal servers, each of which needed different connection methods. Of course, the sys admins out there might notice errors or better ways to do things. I'd appreciate any such comments.
I am now on day two of reading posts on his site on the subject of weblinks and dispite downloading several packages including directory (from CVS head) and "flexinode" I am now nearer creating a formatted page of links.
As a developer I am sure that if I can't work it my users (many of whom lack even basic HTML skills) will have no hope. For fellow dev's an inactive URL would be fine... maybe.
The problem is the more I read the more muddy the waters seem.
Is it me or is the drupal ping module not working? Ever. I mean I've read other posts that flatly state the module does not work well if at all. Is this true? No, I'm not badmouthing drupal. So, before the drupal beat-down team comes for me, I want to say that 95% of all problems I have ever encountered with drupal were my fault. That's why I'm now asking this question. I cannot believe this module does not work. I get "Failed to notify pingomatic.com (site)" and :
