XRMS

Who uses XRMS?

I use XRMS and would like to talk the XRMS people into making XRMS available as a Drupal module. Eventually XRMS could benefit from Drupal's Ajax advances. If there are lots of people using Drupal and XRMS then we could work as a team. Perhaps an XRMS to Drupal integration project could be in Google's Summer of Code.

Site Creation dynamic pages

I m new to Drupal tool. I m now stared exploring it.
I want to use PHP code in that.

Keeping track of modules and updates

IM not sure if i'm either going over old ground here or bringing something for discussion that already exists so please excuse me if either are the case.

So i install drupal and then start adding modules under the version number of my distro, so 4.7 for the 4.7 releases etc, but how do i track new additions to these modules ?

I know you can subscribe to the modules bug CVS page and be informed of any new postings but what about new features of developing modules ? Is there anyway to be informed of such things as they prgress ?

Being that modules do no use version numbers i can't actively see a way to track a developing module when new features are added.

A solution is how vbulletin does things. On vbulletin.org modules are presented in a manner similiar to here at drupal and members can click "install" when they have downloaded and installed that module or plugin. When the author then brings a new version to the table (either with new features or bug fixes) any member who has clicked "install" gets an email from the author with the update feature info and / or bug fixes. This allows the members to keep actively up to date and allows the author to cut down on support questions on issueing he's already addressed.

Something like the following would be sent :-

You have installed the "events" module and it has recently been updated to address the following issues:-

Need webmaster advise for folder or page redirect?

Well I've just installed Drupal using my Hosts control panel. Easiest thing I've ever done. The only thing is that the CP wouldn't allow me to install drupal in the root. I decided to install in /content/ . Now when I type www.domainname.com I would like it to display, well, my Drupla CMS. What would be the best way to deal with this. Make an HTML redirect to my /content or is there another way? I would like that my page keeps the ...mydomain.com without the /content/ Is there a better way to do this?

Thanks

Looking for Drupal Sites for Music Venues

This is more of a marketing sort of question than a technical one. I have a (potential) client that is a nonprofit music venue. Many of the folks involved are very keen to move their web site to be Drupal/CivicSpace based, and to use CiviCRM in the process. I think this is a spectacular fit for their problems - but their board is reluctant and would like to have a reference or 2 from a music venue that is using Drupal or CivicSpace as a web platform.

Have anywone installed the paypal_framework module in a drupal release newer than 4.6?

I am having problems installing the paypal_framework module because this was designed for 4.6 or later version and since i have already customized a theme for drupal 4.7 I can´t go back to and older version and therefore I need to upgrade this paypal framework.

this is because my site needs the paypal_suscription module, if you have done this kind of arrangements for your drupal installation (drupal > 4.6) please let me know.

thanks
