This forum is for less technical discussions about the Drupal project, not for support questions.

I wanted to take this opportunity to complement you all!

I have been busy administrating my 4.6 site for the last many weeks and I've come back to finally update to 4.7. Can I say, wow! you guys have been at it hard. I think everything that you've done is really wonderful. The strides in all areas are really remarkable. The UI is so much better, the reliability seems 110% of what I was expecting. That's not to say that there aren't module bugs reported occationally but nothing disastrous which I have experienced in earlier versions.

Quote module- quote block not seen.

drupal-4.6.4
http://www.shreemaa.org

I installed the quote module, enabled, added a quote block and enabled, created quote content.
I don't see the quote in the block on the right NAV, top.
I don't know why I can't see it. I have no filters enabled.

can anyone help?

thanks.

Which method you use to insert images into your nodes?

There are so many different methods for a simple task of inserting images to nodes.

While many of these different methods work, which one is future proof?

Which image mangement module will go into core in future?

Drupal license and CreativeCommons

i know drupal has a policy of keeping everything under GPL ( http://drupal.org/node/66113 )
sounds wise and keeps things tidy

however there are several OSWD based themes in drupal cvs. some are creative commons.. others are vanilla "open source" with no mention of which license.

So, some direction please? Should i be importing more of these non-GPL-ed OSWD themes into CVS?

Category Module and Forums

I was trying out the category module, but may just give up. Latest problem is that when you create a forum, the forum name is a category which is a node. So when you bring up a list of recent posts, you get the *node* not the the *forum*

Is there a way to make the nodes that the category module generates just go away (i.e. not be displayed to anyone except maybe user/1 ?

I keep running into issues like this with the category module. Do I just simply not "get" something fundamental?

Clarification: ignore versus deny in Taxonomy Access

Can someone tell me how to differentiate between ignore and deny settings in the taxonomy access module? I'm not quite sure why I would want to use ignore instead of deny? It's a fine distinction I am not familiar with. Thanks for any clarification.
