Private event calendar

It seems pretty easy from this vantage to write an calendar module expressly for users. That is, any event a user adds to the calendar is only viewable to the user who wrote the event. I don't see one, so I'm wondering if it's more difficult than I believe. Does anybody have an opinion about this?

2 big questions

1) How do you create a menu link to a category? Say I have created a a Vocabulary "Widgets" and a term under it "Fun". What path do I put into my menu link to call the Widgets page and or the fun page. (This seems to be a commonly asked question on my forums about Drupal including this one and is usually not answered. I then assumed it must be in the handbook. I am sure it is there but it is not intuitive where to find it.)

2) How do I create a link to a static page like About Us?

Thanks, this will be a big help.

"Contact page" shows my supposedly private email address!

Here on the drupal.org website, I enabled the Contact checkbox in
"My Account", as a test. It promises that my email address will be kept private:

"Allow other users to contact you by e-mail via your personal contact form. Note that while your e-mail address is not made public to other members of the community, privileged users such as site administrators are able to contact you even if you choose not to enable this feature."

Problems with Changing Administrative Settings

One of my client encountered the following error code this morning, after making a change to their “Mission Statement” in the “Administer…Settings” area. It doesn’t seem to have affected their site’s functionality, but they wanted to make sure someone saw this in case it raises any issues going forward.

The error message is: "It appears your host is not configured correctly for Clean URLs. Please check for |ModRewrite| support with your administrator. "

Can anyone help me on this?

Member Centre

Hi,

I would like to create a "member's area" on my site where only users who are assigned roles as 'members', not just any authenticated user, would have access to. What is the best way to go about doing this? Should I use simple access?

Thanks
