Rotating Banner in modified Marinelli theme

This is a discussion that was started by email in the Oklahoma Drupalers group, and I'm moving it to this forum so that email replies are not distributed to our entire group.

Okay, since I am still kind of new to the drupal world I hope I explain this correctly...

We had a custom theme built and it was based somewhat on the Marinella theme from Drupal (Drupal 7).
The company that did this kind of took what they needed to build our custom template and removed the Banner portion to put something else in its place.

I am wanting to put the Banner portion back into our custom theme and orient accordingly.

I have it fixed to where I can add banners via the theme on the admin side, but I cannot figure out why they are not rendering to the page.

I copied every line of code that I can see to our theme to make it work, but to no avail.

I am open to suggestions if anyone has any on how to fix this.

Thanks.
Rodney

Message #2 from couturier:

Add the Rotating Banner module to your sites>all>modules folder, activate it under the modules admin, and configure it.

Message #3 from couturier:

Follow-up to last comment, you must place the Rotating Banner as a block on the structure>blocks page.

Slideshow Creator : images don't appear

Hi,

I put on my website (on Drupal 7) the Slideshow Creator module in order to have the possibility to add slideshows anywhere in my pages.
I read the instructions, and I added

[slideshow: 2, height=300, width=300, img=|http://www.xxxxxxxx.jpg|www.aaa.fr|Diapo essai 1|fffffff|_blank|, img=|http://www.xxxxxxxx.jpg|www.aaa.fr|Diapo essai 1|fffffff|_blank|]

The title, the link, the description appear, but not the images.

What's a good theme for a resume website?

Hey, I'm looking for recommendations for a D7 theme.
The site in question is a resume/brochure website. It doesn't have much - just a landing page, a portfolio, some references, and a blog. I want a simple and complete theme. HTML5 is a plus. No preference whether it's fluid or fixed-width.

Any suggestions? Thanks!

How to deal with different databases and existing PHP scripts?

Hello Drupal community,

We have an existing game community page at newerth.com. On that site we are using an SMF forum and some self written PHP scripts to handle some dynamic content, that we are using ingame. We have different mysql databases to deal with (general database for forums etc...and our other database where all the userdata from game is stored - like game statistics, kills, deaths etc...). So our users have two different accounts. First - the user account for the game account and second - the account for the page login (forum). These are two different accounts.

Well - with that beeing said i would like to ask you, if it is possible to change to drupal and using our existing scripts to generate the dynamic pages like stats & rankings. on that site (stats & rankings) are all statistics from the game listed. so users can search their own account and view their own stats - they can also browse through others players stats to view what they are doing. How can i connect with drupal to the existing external database where stats are stored? And how can i use the existing PHP Script to generate the dynamic stats & rankings page? Do i have to write my own module or which way should i choose?
