Drupal 7.x

I've been trying to fix an error in a module and that search has led me into the core drupal image functions. I'm trying to deduce how Drupal is handling file URIs like public://file.gif. The module I'm working with is generating such a URI and feeding it to drupal's GD functions.

Am going to implement the FeedBack module (http://drupal.org/project/feedback).

Any suggestions on how to get the prompt to show up in a different spot on the page? I'd like it to be toward the top of the content, it is important to me that my customers know they can request help or alterations at the slightest need.

Ideally, I'd like it to be right next to the title, but general guidelines on how to move it would be great.

Hi. I'm simply trying to figure out how to create a blog, but I do NOT want the blog posts to go to the front page. When I turn off the "promote to front page" option, the entire blog just disappears when I hit save? is it not possible to do this?

I've been searching for the solutions for a while, and I'm sure it's out there, I'm just not exactly sure what search term to use. Any help is appreciated.

I have a new install of d7 - its works great thanks - I also put in a new theme from template-monster.com which looks beautiful - however - when I add content to a node (with or without text editor) only part of the content is displayed. The content is all visible when editing and in preview, however after save - only the text in

  tags is not.

  Currently i have ckeditor installed. I have tried with both wsywig and ckeditor module and it makes no difference.

I make view and I want to add information about author of node? I have only possibility add information about uid.
