i am new to drupal and am having working knowledge of drupal and drupal module(telling just for ur reference :),ok..now i m building a site for my college,for this website i wanted to create a welcome screen/Front page which opens ones when someone accesses the site for the first time,for this i m used "Front Page" module. in this it allows to skip "Theme engine" and lets u create "Full Custom" page by in which one can use html, css or anything, i have created one just as a try
which is as follow..

My drupal 7 site's home page does not load at times. It takes a long time, then I get a page can not be displayed, then if I refresh the browser the page loads and everything is fine, until about a day later when I try to load the page again and the same happens.

The home page has a view slideshow and a view jquery carousel. I have tried to remove the carousel, but it did not help the page load. I have cacheing and bandwidth optimization turned on.

Has anyone experienced the same? Any help would be appreciated.

I've installed Drupal 7.10 (Bartik theme), and have noticed that the tabs for the menus have rounded corners in Firefox, but in IE they are square and sharp edged, but that in the drupal.org site the same tabs have rounded edges... is there an IE specific css that I need to install that has been lost from the 7.10 distro?

Is there a distro of drupal with Bartik that has the rounded corners in IE, so that I can compare and contrast the IE css's for a solution.

I've just upgraded from v7.0 to v7.10 (having been away from my site for some time).

The upgrade went smoothly with no problems reported. I can view my site OK and the top level Admin page.

However, when I click any link on the Admin page (or admin toolbar) I get a white page with the text:

Internal Server Error

The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

etc....

So I restored v7.0 build folders and dbase backup and the site works OK incl. all admin pages.

Hello. I would like to automatically add a taxonomy term to a vocabulary when new content is added (of a specific content type).

I have a content type named manufacturers.
I have a taxonomy vocabulary named manufacturer_list.

When a new manufacturer is added, I would like the name of the manufacturer to automatically add to the manufacturer_list vocabulary.

Is this possible with a contributed module(s) or by code?

My drupal site work with MySql but for some specific module i need to get data from a Sql Server.

Is it possible, and how do that ?
