Bartik 7.10 not allowing colour changes

Hello again, again.

OK.. the error message provided by Drupal is this:

Message The file permissions could not be set on public://color/bartik-f3efd97b/colors.css.

Does 'public' mean the same as: "/sites/default/files", because that's where the /color/bartik-nnnnnnnn/colors.css SHOULD be??

Can any Drupal experts please help me? I've spent at least 20 hours getting nowhere on this.

Thank-you.

Hello again.

I think this is a permissions problem, but please, I still would like some help with it.

On my web host, I went to the folder: /sites/default/files/color/ and deleted all the 'bartik-nnnnnnnn' files that I could.

I was left with this:

Parent Folder
bartik-79785833 You drwxrwxr-x
bartik-96b4b96d You drwxrwxrwx

After trying to change to default 'Slate' colours: (didn't work - page is white), I now get this:

Parent Folder
bartik-70a3e55e You drwxrwxr-x
bartik-79785833 You drwxrwxr-x
bartik-96b4b96d You drwxrwxrwx

It appears that the final group of permissions is only 'execute' and not 'write'(I manually changed the 'bartik-96b4b96d' file), but I don't know if has anything to do with the problem or not.

Can somebody PLEASE point me to a resource that will help me?

Thank-you.

Hello all.

Search index views

Hi, I am using views to create an output of my content, for example:
View: about
node1: about me
node2: about you

Then my view "about" will output node1 and node2.

My problem is that if i search my site, the links will point to the nodes and not to my view.

Is it possible to let search link to the view that contains the node?

=thanks in advance=

Including CCK Date/Time Field in custom node.tpl.php file

I'm creating a custom node.tpl.php file for a specific content type. I need to include the "long" version of the Date and Time CCK field which is:

Monday, January 1, 2012 - 2:00 PM PDT

What is the correct PHP code to use to include a properly formatted date?

I tried <?php print $node->field_date_time[$node->language][0]['safe_value']; ?> but that doesn't work.

Administration acces multi-roles

Hi all !

First, I'm sorry if my english is bad, I try to write as best possible I can.

So, I'm a new user of Drupal and particulary about Drupal 7.

I'm making my first website and developement some personal module, it's ok, I find some doc's, examples & tutos on this website and thanks to google too ^^

However, I'm confronted against a problem which is too hard for me and I don't know if it's possible.

The specifications book is changed about administration and client wants a other way to administrate her website.

Globaly, the website have some members and some roles.
There are many classical member who have access to the front office and there is a Administrator (uid = 1) and many 'little-administrators" who have some setting rules.

When I create my modules and with other modules that I have installed, I create some links in a "admin menu" (which is visible only by "little-administrator" to administrate the content which is accessible for they)

However, the specifications book specify that the administration (for Administrator and "little-administrators" is accessible on a separate administration (as the administration part which is accessible by the administrator (uid = 1) when the overlay is disable) (http://website.com/admin/*)

And I don't know how make access possible to roles that need it.

Organic groups - Group content visibiity problem

Hi all,

My question is : how do i hide group content from non-members and not-logged in users.

I have got panel displaying the group . The right column contains instance of quicktabs with 5 tabs witch are five views : group articles, photos, videos, forums, and files. Now i want yo display the content only if user iss a member of group, otherwise nothing(still display panel but the tabs will remain empty until user join the group or login(if he is a member already).

Adding content to pages...?

I've created a new page and it shows up as a link along the menu...when i go to add content to what i think is that page it shows up instead under the 'Home" page.

When i am logged in as admin....i see the 'photos' link along the menu......and when i click on the link all i get is the 'add content, article or page' option.....if i add an article, i select the option to 'Provide a menu link ' and select 'photos' but it gets published to the 'home' page
