Permissions problem

I created a bunch of books as an admin, and when a user goes to a book/page they get this

Changing name of "index.php" to "newname.php" permanently

All of the topics I found when doing a search on "renaming index.php" referred to doing so temporarily, or as the means to have more than one default main page.

What I want to do, for purposes of existing external links to my old web site, is permanently rename Drupal's "index.php" to, for example, "newindex.php". Will doing so break Drupal? (I am currently running v6, but would be implementing this with v7.)

Thank you.

Adding a new block to the configuration page

I'm just learning Drupal 7 and it does things somewhat differently to D6 so I having a little difficulty here and there. Plus I'm no coding whizz.

In this case I am trying to add a new block to the "configuration" page (/admin/config). I've installed the Devel module, and it creates a block in the "configuration" page. Then the items in the block have URLs that relate to the block and item. eg admin/config/development/performance. I want to create a settings page for my module eg admin/config/mymodule/settings and I've been trying various things.

Images/files in forum not showing

I have a question... I can add pictures/files to my books and they show fine, however when I try to add one to a forum post nothing shows. Any ideas what I could try to get it to show? BTW I'm using advanced_forum
Thanks
