Today I did a split test on my server to compare the speed of D6 vs D7 stock. I'd like to share my results, and also encourage you to run split test of your own.

My results are not promising...

D7 stock is 220% slower than D6 stock.
Average "time to first byte" on D6 is 533 ms. Average on D7 is a painful 1172 ms; well over a second.

My testing methodology is as follows, please follow the same procedure for your own split test.

I plan to build my web site using drupal 7. then I heard pressflow, I like pressflow because its designed to run faster. but drupal 7 also has alot good features that pressflow didnt have.

now I cannot decide which one to use.

Maybe you will find this question very easy, but I'm relatively new to Drupal.

I created a content type in a module where users can create different courses. I would like to configure page output data since currently, the data are displayed one below the other and I can't customize the display. How can I customize the display of these data?

I'm using Drupal 7.

I have added a dynamic Select List via hook_form_FORM_ID_alter. The data is manually stored in a table.
This all works well.

How can I get the data to show in a Views Display?

Is there a way to manually write a query for display in Views?

What is the best practice?

Why is that? I can't know what will be the number of my nod so i want to take the first entry, why [0] doesnt work?

2°) How can i display the zen breadcrumb into my node content.
I'm trying to pass down the breadcrumb variable from the page template to the node, but it says the node object is not an array.

I'm sure it's very simple for Php expert, but i've spent over an hour looking how to do it, without any luck...
